*English is after Japanese 南極に向かう前、南極はどういう景色なんだろうかと考えていました。 氷の大地が拡がり、吹雪が舞う。 もしくは、チリの渓谷のよう。 私はだいたいそうイメージしていました。 でも、実際は半分あたりで半分はずれ。そんな印象です。 まず、恵まれたことに天候がよかったため、吹雪いてませんでした。 また、山の間を船で抜けて行くのですが、想像以上に山に雪がつもっていて、それと氷のブロックが共存しています。 煩雑な手続きが必要らしく、上陸できなかったのが残念でしたが、一瞬一瞬みせる景色が違う南極。あの感覚は初めて長期の登山をした上高地から室堂のルートの感覚を…
