「関係代名詞」。 名詞に説明を付けたい時に使うもの。 例えば、 The boy is Ken's brother.（その少年はケンの弟だ。） だけではなくて、 The boy who is playing tennis over there is Ken's brother.（″向こうでテニスをしている″少年はケンの弟だ。） の時の「who」。 機能語で、日本語上の訳には表れない。 ふつう関係代名詞の前には、修飾（＝説明）される「先行詞」と呼ばれる名詞があり（上の例ではthe boy ）、 普通はその直後に、修飾節である「関係代名詞節」（上ではwho is playing tennis ove…
