先週から移動の友としていたJames P Hogan"星を継ぐもの"(創元SF文庫,1980初版)を退勤時に読了する。某ＮＯＢ氏から数ヶ月前に薦められて購入し、そのまま積読になっていたのだけど、これはもうめちゃくちゃ面白かった。月面で宇宙服を着た死体が見つかるが、その死体は人類誕生のずっと前からそこにあった。とどのつまりはその正体を明らかにしていく、内容はそれだけ。だけどそれを"現在"の科学理論から想定されうる近未来の科学理論で詰めていく。謎の解明が別の謎を呼び、さらにその解明が新たな謎を呼んでいく。先日読んだ"帝王の殻"でもちらりと思ったけれど、ハードSFって要は謎解きの魅力が大きくて、その…
