本と雑誌
「きょうも あつくなりそうな なつの あさです」という一文から始まる絵本がある。「にちよういち」西村繁男著、この本を見つけたのは笹温泉のラウンジだった。そこには高知市の日曜市が描かれていた。主人公は６歳の女の子のあっちゃんと籐の乳母車を押したおばあちゃん。二人で日曜市に出掛け、いろんな店を巡り、買い物をし、子猫をもらい、帰っていく。そんな何気ないエピソードを描いた絵本だった。絵は素朴なタッチだが、日曜市の光景が綿密に描かれていた。それは高知市出身の作者が想い入れいっぱいに描き込んだものだった。ページをめくるごとに、僕も一緒に日曜市を巡っていた。ページをめくるごとに、懐かしさでいっぱいになった。…
