子供の頃から，００７シリーズの映画が大好きでした。映画だけでは飽き足らず，創元推理文庫と早川ミステリ文庫から出されていた原作も全て読んでいました。翻訳は全て井上一夫氏でその文体がまた大好きでした。それでも原作を英文で読みたいというのが，英語を学ぶモチベーションの大きな１つでした。今でも時々読み直していて，現在も「ダイヤモンドは永遠に」を読んでいるところです。アメリカのギャングによるダイヤモンドの密輸をテーマにしたこの物語は，1956年に出版されたもので，普段はヨーロッパで活動することが多いジェームズ・ボンドがアメリカに行くことになり，イギリス人の目線で当時のアメリカ文化を観察しつつ，任務の遂行…
