ワット・ソートーン (Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan) はアユタヤ王朝末期の1764年に建立された歴史のある寺院で、かつて「ワット・ホン」と称されていました。ご本尊の「ソートーン大仏」を祀っていることから、後に現在の名がつくようになったとか。 幅1.65×高さ1.98メートルのランナー様式で坐像のソートーン大仏には、様々な奇跡を起こしながらバーンパコン川に漂流してきた3体の仏像のひとつで、最初のー体はサムットソンクラーム県ワット・バーンレーム、もう一体はサムットプラーカーン県ワット・アンパワー・ヤイにそれぞれ祀られているとの言い伝えが残っています。 特にソートーン大仏…
