「The EYE【アイ】」は2002年の香港・タイ・シンガポール合作のホラー映画です。監督のパン兄弟は香港生まれの中国人ですが、主にタイで映画を撮っていて、先に紹介した「レイン (1999年)」もパン兄弟の作品です。 アイも前半は香港ですが、後半の核心部分はタイに舞台を移します。2歳で失明したマン (主人公)。20歳になった彼女は角膜移植手術を受け視力を取り戻すが、次第に見えないものが見えるようになり･･･。 薄暗い廊下の奥に、病室の片隅に、エレベーターの角に、この世のものではないものが浮かび上がり、ヒタヒタと近づいてくる。脅かしも絶叫もありません。ゾクッと寒気がする作品です。ジメッとした空気…
